NEW PRESIDENT FOR CHESTERFIELD PHILHARMONIC CHOIR

The “Phil” are delighted to announce the appointment of Jonathan Scott as their new President.

Described as “The leading British organist”, Jonathan enjoys a hugely varied international performing career on a diverse spectrum of keyboard instruments, and is known throughout the world for his virtuoso arrangements and performances of major orchestral music for the pipe organ. As Associate Artist of The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, Jonathan gives a series of lunchtime organ recitals which attract huge audiences and with his brother, Tom, his performance videos on the Scott Brother Duo YouTube channel have achieved more than 85 million views making them some of the most watched in the world.

On accepting his new role Jonathan said "It's my great pleasure and honour to be invited to be President of Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir. As a musician who has appeared with them in concert many times over the years, it's always wonderful to join the choir in concert, and see their activities and performances go from strength to strength. I look forward to supporting and hearing them for many years!"
