Thank you for visiting the Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir website. We hope you enjoy browsing our website, and that you find a lot of useful information.

We are based in the historic Derbyshire town of Chesterfield, and are currently over 90 members strong. We put on around four public concerts each year in various venues, including the Church of St Mary and All Saints - otherwise known as the famous Crooked Spire! We also hold an annual Choral Day to which everyone is invited. Please click on the appropriate links for more details.

We invite you to join our mission of promoting, improving, developing and maintaining public education in and appreciation of the art and science of choral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and recitals. (Registered Charity No 500561).

To see & hear us and some of our guests in action, please click on the Videos tab above, or click here.

Have a look at our new video below telling you more about the choir and why we enjoy singing together !

CORONAVIRUS - In the light of Government announcements, the concert on 28th March is postponed to a date later in the year. The planned Dream of Gerontius concert in July 2020 at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester has also been postponed. Details of these rescheduled concerts will be posted when available.

Similarly, revised details of the remainder of our 53rd Season 2019/20 will be published as soon as possible.

CHORAL DAY 2020 - The Brahms Requiem Choral Day on the 6th of June 2020 is postponed to next year. The programme will be the same due to its popularity but the new date will be Saturday 5th June 2021. If you have not registered, we will reopen registration later this year. We will let you know when this happens. We will contact individuals who have already registered with details of the new arrangements shortly.

We appreciate that postponing the workshop is not ideal, but we are hoping that using the same day next year will allow the majority of you to attend. If you have any questions then please reply to this email address: six weeks of the date of this message (3 April). Thank you for your understanding and please keep healthy.
